Award at the XIII Workshop on Forest Restoration

Undergraduate student Isabella Simão de Carvalho, a member of the SOHMA group, received the award for Best Scientific Poster in the Undergraduate Category at the XIII Workshop on Forest Restoration, with the work entitled “Assessment of soil health as an indicator of restoration effectiveness in European salt marshes using a Soil Health Index (SHI)”. The project was developed during the BEPE/FAPESP Research Internship Abroad Program, carried out at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and aimed to evaluate the application of a Soil Health Index as a tool to identify the effectiveness of restoration processes in European salt marshes.
