Eudocio Rafael Otavio da Silva
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), and a Ph.D. in Science, with an emphasis on Agricultural Systems Engineering, from the “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). He works as a researcher in Precision and Digital Agriculture, focusing on the spatiotemporal analysis of agricultural systems and the integration of field data to support decision-making. His expertise includes geoprocessing, remote sensing, geostatistics, and big data analytics applied to agriculture.
He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Carbon Research in Tropical Agriculture (CCARBON-USP), where he investigates the use of sensors to assess carbon stocks at large scales across agricultural landscapes. His research integrates digital technologies with traditional soil carbon quantification methods to optimize monitoring protocols and reduce the need for intensive sampling.
