SOHMA participation in symposium in Rio de Janeiro

Between June 25 and 28, 2025, SOHMA participated in the Latin American and Caribbean Soil Carbon Research Symposium, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The event, supported by CCARBON-USP, brought together national and international researchers to discuss advances in soil management systems, carbon measurement and monitoring methodologies, certifications, and public policies aimed at mitigating climate change, adapting agriculture, and sequestering carbon in the soil.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Maurício Roberto Cherubin, coordinator of the group, participated in the plenary session with the lecture: "Soil health: the basis for a more productive and resilient tropical agriculture".
Members of SOHMA were also present in the poster modality, sharing research results aligned with the event's theme.
