Rafael Braghieri Menillo

Agricultural Engineer from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ), University of São Paulo (USP), specialized in sugarcane cultivation. Professional experience includes a period of work at the HUGOT Group - Sugar Technology from 2017 to 2019, where he worked in the Department of Agroindustry, Food and Nutrition. During this time, he focused his activities on improving the quality of raw materials and sugar in the sugarcane industry, as well as experimenting with new industrial technologies. He was part of the Soil Health & Management Research Group (SOHMA) from 2019 to 2020, as a member of the Department of Soil Science, where he conducted his Undergraduate Thesis / Final Project (TCC).

His research focused on soil compaction in sugarcane fields, investigating its causes and the implications of this compaction on soil properties and sugarcane productivity, resulting in an article in 2023. From 2022 to 2023, he worked as a Technical Training Fellow at the SOHMA Group, being responsible for monitoring the field and laboratory activities of its members.

He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Soils and Plant Nutrition program at ESALQ, continuing his academic and professional journey in the field of agriculture and soil science and as an agronomist responsible for the field management of the Agri-PV project.
