Practical Guide to Cover Crops Launch

Cover crops have been increasingly adopted as an effective alternative to diversify annual, semi-perennial and perennial cropping systems in several regions of Brazil. With the aim of providing information on grasses, forages, legumes and oilseeds, such as canola, rye, brachiaria, sorghum, lupine, wheat, crotalaria, sunflower and different grasses, the book "Practical Guide to Cover Plants: phytotechnical aspects and impacts on soil health" was recently released.

The publication brings together practical recommendations on 49 cover crops grown in Brazil. Divided into sections on Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter plants, the guide presents general characteristics, phytotechnical information, indications and limitations of use, in addition to the impact on soil health management. It covers both single crops (one species) and consortiums of two species or mixes with three or more species in the same area. I
