George Lambais
Biologist from UNIMEP (2003-2008). Master in Sciences (Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants) from ESALQ/USP (2009-2011). PhD in Sciences (Chemistry in Agriculture and the Environment) from CENA/USP (2011-2015).
Between 2014 and 2015 he was an exchange scholarship holder (sandwich doctorate) at the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD), Montpellier, France. Researcher (2016-2024) at the National Institute of Semi-Arid (INSA/MCTI), conducting research in the area of Water Reuse in Agriculture of the Brazilian Semi-Arid and Coordinator of the Laboratory of Environmental Microbiology. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Soil Science at ESALQ/USP with research on soil health in agri-photovoltaic (Agri-PV) systems.
He has experience in the areas of Plant Ecophysiology and Microbiology, working mainly on the following topics: root dynamics and architecture, nutrient cycling, soil microbial ecology, mycorrhizae, soil microbial activity, environmental monitoring and food safety.
