Eudocio Rafael Otavio da Silva

Graduated and holding a master’s degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), he earned a Ph.D. in Sciences, with an emphasis on Agricultural Systems Engineering, from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). He works as a researcher in Precision and Digital Agriculture, focusing on the spatiotemporal analysis of agricultural systems and the integration of field data to support decision-making. He has experience in geoprocessing, remote sensing, geostatistics, and big data analysis applied to agriculture.

Currently, he is conducting postdoctoral research at the Center for Carbon Research in Tropical Agriculture (CCARBON-USP), where he investigates the use of sensors for large-scale assessment of carbon stocks in agricultural landscapes, integrating digital technologies with traditional soil carbon quantification methods to optimize monitoring protocols and reduce the need for intensive sampling.
